Hey people. We've got only a few slots left, so get your spot NOW. You don't want to be left high and dry, do you?
Are you flummoxed by sentences involving "scull" or "coxswain"? Does language involving "bury the blade" and "foot stretcher" leave you with that sinking feeling? DC Strokes Rowing Club and DeafDC.com have partnered to bring to you a great, wet outdoor activity!
On Saturday, July 8, join us for an all-day "Learn to Row" session at the DC Strokes boathouse and on the Anacostia River. From 9-4, you'll learn the basics of rowing safety, technique, and equipment in interpreted coaching sessions. After a good lunch, you'll be out there on the river with DC Strokes members, rowin' your heart out.
Interested? It's $25.00 per person, which includes lunch. Please e-mail info@deafdc.com to secure your spot! The sign-up deadline is Saturday, July 1.
Our newest sponsor comes from the mysterious jungles of the south Orient. And the verdant rolling hills of Umbria. Can't decide between Thai or Italian food?
Pick both at Thai Roma, a delectable establishment in Capitol Hill along Pennsylvania Ave. Been to Pourhouse? Thai Roma is right next door.
So, to thank them for being such great sponsors of DeafDC.com, pay them a visit. Pad Thai with linguine? You'll never know what you'll find there!
Maybe we're exaggerating. It could be just a beacon of hope? Of light? We'll let you decide when you go to the Beacon Bar and Grill in Logan Circle for our next DPHH on July 7th. All the information's right there on DeafDC.com, so check it out there!
