While DCAD's focus is the city of Washington, D.C., we can't live without our friends who work in Maryland and Virginia. Our resources will cover the whole metropolitian area.
District of Columbia

DeafDC.com offers captioned film listings, deaf staff bloggers, Deaf Professional Happy Hour(SM), local organization listings, a job board, continuing education and professional development program information, and more.

- Deaf Reach's mission is to maximize the self-sufficiency of deaf adults needing special services by providing Referral, Education, Advocacy, Counseling, and Housing.
- Deaf Abused Women's Network (DAWN)

- DAWN is a nonprofit organization that addresses domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking in the Deaf, hard of hearing and Deaf-blind community.
- Metropolitian Washington Deaf Community Center (MWDCC)

- MWDCC promotes the interests and welfare of deaf persons. They promote programs and activities among deaf individuals, whether social, cultural, civic, educational, and/or recreational. MWDCC provides appropriate referral services so that deaf individuals may benefit from existing programs, and work toward attaining those that do not exist. MWDCC also supports empowerment and advocacy undertakings to increase accessibility for the deaf community, especially through MWDCC Roundtable on Deaf Issues.

- The Potomac Chapter of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc. (PCRID) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of the field of interpreting. PCRID is the state level affiliate chapter of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc. serving Maryland and the District of Columbia. PCRID coordinates four subchapters and their activities: Baltimore, Chesapeake Bay, Frederick and Washington, D.C.

- Maryland Association of the Deaf (MDAD)

- The purpose of MDAD is to safeguard, maintain and advance the civic, educational, and social welfare of people who are deaf and hard of hearing in the State of Maryland. The MDAD membership is diverse, and includes deaf and hard of hearing people; hearing parents and guardians of deaf children; hearing children of deaf adults; and professionals who work with deaf people, all working together to support and learn from one another.

- The mission of the Virginia Association of the Deaf is to promote, protect, and preserve the rights and quality of life of deaf and hard of hearing individuals in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Northern Virginia Resource Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Persons (NVRC)

- NVRC is a nonprofit organization serving the counties of Fairfax, Arlington, and Loudoun, as well as the cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Manassas, and Manassas Park. Limited services are provided to Prince William County.
