Special Message

Hello DCAD Members and DC Residents!!

September 12, 2006 will be a very exciting day for DC citizens/residents! This is when we vote for our next Mayor of DC. Currently 5 candidates are in the running, and forums have been set up all over the District. We are including information for you and hope to see you at one of the forums. It is vital to be aware of what platform issues each mayoral candidate is standing for so that you make an informed decision when you vote on September 12.

For those that haven't registered to vote, we have information for you to do so. Please remember that you need to postmark your registration form within 30 days (send it in the mail before August 14th, this coming Monday!)

We encourage you to check out each website and decide which one you'd like to vote for. DCAD have been attending different mayoral candidate forums through the summer and seeing if the candidates mentioned anything about working with the growing Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.
