This cannot invalidate the protest by any means. The protest movement has been standing on (at least) two legs from the beginning: on a cultural criticism and on a performance criticism. Even if you question the first, the second shows Fernandes unfit to lead a university in the 21st century.

CWA = Cynthia W. Ashby

Yes, a tangled web we must unweave (unravel is okay, but it wouldn't have rhymed) :)

Cynthia is... a hard one to read. I've spoken with her at times and still cannot figure out her perspectives. Even decisions on GSD and AASD that seems to be audistic could easily be attributed to something else, e.g. insufficient funds.. or the school board, not Cynthia, made the final decision of who gets to be director of GSD, etc. One thing is for sure...nobody can really say she lack experience in deaf education- she started as a lowly assistant to teacher at AASD in 1970s, then teacher, and steadily climbed her way to the top.

FYI - Cynthia Ashley voted for Jane Fernandes? I was impressed Dr. Ashley is not friendly to the deaf people in Georgia from her history against the deaf people on job applications in the deaf education field. In fact the Board of Trustees members can not release the person names they vote at Gallaudet University - confidentiality.

Wish I knew Internet-style Morse Code so I can answer your questions.
Are you talking about the poem about what a tangled web we must unravel?

Oh, I didn't know she was your boss (I'm assuming you're talking about CWA). Any idea why wasn't she in town last week? At least she wasn't in the BoT meeting with FSSA. By the way, glad you enjoyed my poem (although it's old by now).

I have to say that the actual picture of student protestors in "Unity Gallaudet Now" was taken on the Monday afternoon when the protest erupted right away after the unjustifable arrest of Ryan Commerson.

 Everybody were really *SHOCKED*. The people of color just happened to stand next to the DPS booth via front gate. Everybody were so emotional and dumbfounded by the Gally's BOT decision (appalling and ignorant).

Hey, the Sage, that obvious, eh? *Hee hee*
Basically, reason is I got a boss who is sitting on Gally BoT, last thing I want to risk is for the boss to be contemplating dissolution of my job, for, as Michael Moore would put it, "fictious reasons"...

Everyone has the opportunity to discuss from all different viewpoints in regards to the protest at Gallypost.com. I noticed RidorLive.com tend to remove people who voiced againist the protest. So it is biased website. I noticed that DeafDC.com and Gallypost.com are the most unbiased website because there is no moderator to interfere or to remove any comments on either sides. Surf to Gallypost.com too!
