My heart almost dropped this morning when I turned on the TV.
Airline terror plots.
Terrorists were in their final stages of planning to blow up U.S.-bound planes originating from the United Kingdom. 21 suspects have been arrested, and they’re still searching for more suspects.
Apparently, they were going to use explosive liquids that can be put in various bottles (such as contact lenses solution) on carry on bags.
For now, no cell phones, laptops, or any sort of device that may be changed into detonators are allowed on planes. They are prohibiting liquids including beverages, hair sprays, lotions from being allowed on the plane.
The U.S. threat level for planes coming from the United Kingdom has been raised to red–the highest level possible, but the nation’s threat level has not been changed as of yet. They are not sure if the threats have been completely rid of. Better safe than sorry.
This whole thing made me flash back to Sept 11, 2001, five years ago.
For all I know, I’m glad the British police was on their toes when they pulled the trigger and arrested the 21 suspects that had every intention of detonating planes that were headed to major tourist spots in the United States (which includes NYC, Washington, California). It’s scary to know what’s still going on.
Why can’t we all just get along???

Institutionalized religion sucks. To find a plan to sort your life out is one thing but using religion as an answer to other people’s problems.. sucks.

Every religion has their own violent extremists. All you have to do is look toward the extreme Christian right-wing fundamentalists, and their level of hatred is on the same level as that of Muslim fundamentalists.
How do you deal with someone who just want your extermination at any cost?

I haven’t. Let’s get something straight you mental midgits. The Al-Quada or whatever they are called don’t want American’s exterminations at any cost. They want the US Military out of their holy land (That’s Saudi Arabia and Mecca for you mental midgits) and to establish a Caliph in the middle east. I would say the only extermination going on is white people killing all the non-white people, which is making all the non-white people mad.

what rock did you jokers crawl out from? Double-crossing is not unique to white people. As a good example, since we’re citing historical precedences here, African peoples practiced slavery themselves and sold their own people, slaves, and undesirables to slavetraders. Slavery, torture, and oppression is still going on in Africa, South America, Middle East, and Asia today. And the oppressors in those countries do it to their own people without any help from whites.
If we or any other countries would just leave one and another alone, for example, refrain attacking a country, taking control of their country etc. Would you think we all will still get along better than it is right now?
Actually, I think the laptop ban (as a carryon) is only in UK and for UK flights, not regular domestic flights….I didn’t see anything about laptops on the FAA website. (www.faa.gov)

That’s the extreme Islamic fundamentalists’ mentality. They are simply angry people because they feel hopeless. Most of them are not well-educated and are easily brainwashed by those evil leaders! That’s sad.
We allowed Muslims to practice inside the U.S. but most Middle East countries do no allow Christians or Jewish to practice inside their countries. American diplomats in Saudi Arabia have to be discreet on Sunday.
