I watched “Inside the Actors’ Studio” last week with Robert Downey Jr. I consider him to be an amazing actor despite a lot of his downfalls. He’s really good at what he does. The way he spoke during the interview dazzled me. He’s a hidden gem and speaks so intelligently. It was a really good interview. I was more interested in how he spoke without throwing in a lot of those, “Uhm, well, yeah, like. You know what I mean.”

He spoke of an upcoming movie called A Scanner Darkly. It’s a new kind of filming method & looks so good. Even if the plot was lousy, I’d still watch the movie, just based on the filming.

Allergies in the summer time really do suck. In all actuality, it sucks any time of the year. But when I want and need to be running amok, it drains so much energy out of me that I don’t even feel like myself.

Update on the best buy car stereo: they redeemed themselves by switching out radios & giving me exactly what I want. Even though they tried to charge us more for the ipod interface, we told them no because it was a lot of time & gas for us since they couldn’t do it right in the first place. But I’m in love with my new toy. I still wouldn’t go there again.

The heat has taken a toll on a lot of people. I do love it, only when I get to be by the pool. Just be sure to drink a lot of water & make sure your pets are getting their fair share of water, too! And for our sakes, don’t leave them in the car, even if the window’s open. That’s cruel!

I was appalled to watch the news yesterday when I heard of a guy being attacked in the NYC subways by a guy with a power saw and no one tried to help him! the guy lived, but I was shocked that it happened in the first place! That’s one of the main reasons why I find it so difficult to watch the news very often because it’s so stressful & painful to watch. I wonder how the newscasters do it without letting it go to their head?

When I was visiting family in Texas, there were about 15 of us that spent the weekend together. We were able to polish off three 11 x 17 Texas sheet cakes in about 36 hours (no joke!) and on the 3rd day, we made a carrot cake & that was gone in an instant. I thought it was funny how we’d go through that much cake in 3 days (although it was 2 people’s birthdays, so we had good reason!)

I thoroughly enjoyed Daniel Powter’s concert earlier this week at the 930 Club. It was quite mellow considering I’m used to going to hard core rock shows. But this one turned out to be awesome simply because of Daniel’s keyboard skills. I loved the instrumentals. I love it when musicians show off their other skills & let their band members show off their skills as well. I think it shows that they do care about their band members even though they might not be as famous as they are. I think it’s funny that a lot of people hate his song, Bad Day. but I love it because it’s one of those songs I can play when I am really having a bad day & it’ll make me smile.

Just a few random thoughts I thought I’d throw out there.
