Anything but gun laws. OOOOKay. I’ll accomodate that request.
This season is going to be an end of a truly amazing show, and that’s Alias. I’ve watched Alias from the start. And I’ve been incredibly loyal to the show, but I will admit, in the past year, I’ve gone, “what did they do to my show?!”
Though when it came back on a couple weeks ago, they brought their game on which relieved me because I don’t want Alias to go out with a whisper. I genuinely love every character on the show, whether they’re good or evil. I love the plots, although it’s gone off track every now and then. I love how you absolutely have to watch every episode because if you miss one episode, you’ll be confused, and miss out on the few secrets revealed in every episode.
And this year, they’re wrapping up the show. I’m dying to know what they’re going to do. Though I’m sad the show’s ending, it’s time for it to end. They’ve entertained me for 5 seasons, and now all they have to do is go out with a bang. And I mean a big BANG.
Luckily I have a new show that I’m genuinely hooked on. Prison Break. I freak if I miss one episode. I’ll revolve my life around making sure I watch that show every Monday night at 8 pm. I cringed when they were going on hiatus for nearly four months. How was I supposed to remember everything that has gone on? I’m rooting for them to break out of prison. I hate the plot revolving around Veronica because I think it’s so insignificant. I love how Michael (Wentworth) is a genius character, but he catches you off guard every now and then. This show has me on the edge of my seat, clutching a pillow, and talking to the TV, “go! come on you don’t have time!” The season finale is next Monday, and I can’t wait to see it! And thank god it’s been extended for another season! The fun’s only begun.
While I watch these shows, there’s one commerical by Toyota that I absolutely love. They’re promoting their new car, the Yaris. Granted, I don’t think it’s a pretty car. (I love beautiful cars). Anyway, this commerical cracks me up. One is the car versus a piggy bank. After using three or four tools to try to crack the bank, all they have to do is a simple tap, and the piggy bank cracks open. and the Yaris takes the money. (Meaning it’s a reasonably priced car).
The other one is a gas pump “spider” and it sees the Yaris and screams. Then the Yaris runs over the spider, and gets the gas it needs. (Meaning it’s not a gas guzzler, and god knows we don’t need any more gas guzzlers.) These commericals crack me up because it’s smart, and it plays on what’s happening in society with the gas prices increasing, and how the economy is really weighing heavily on us.
Oh yeah, if you want another show to watch, check out Overhaulin’ on TLC. I just started watching it a couple months ago, and am hooked. It’s truly a fun show to watch. They prank the car owners, but end up trickin’ out the cars to the max. And the artist behind it all is Chip Foose, and wow, he’s a true genuine artist. The way he does the paint job on the cars…heck, I’d want him to do a paint job on my car. And get it tricked out. It’s a fun show to watch.
Hope this lightens up the mood here a little bit.

For TV shows, I prefer House and Lost as well as My Name Is Earl and the Office. Witty and intelligent writing always appeals to me.
The biggest shocker for me this season was ABC’s axing of Commander in Chief. Granted, it sorta sucked, but I really liked it anyway. It had potential (although it was an insult to Donald Sutherland’s acting prowess). They killed it because they took it off the air for like four months and people forgot about it.
WHY DO THE NETWORKS DO THAT? Why do they take out shows for a long period of time and then put it back suddenly when they realize people think it’s been cancelled?
It’s all about the way the networks have thought up a strategy. I mean, look at 24. they make you wait until January when the show finally starts its season, but the best part is you get to watch the entire season with little reruns.
Look at lost, it’s so successful even though they keep premiring 3 weeks of new episodes, then 3 weeks of reruns. It drives everyone crazy. But the shows are that good, that networks know what they’re doing.
Besides, the networks want to torture us, it’s their job. What else do they have to do besides rearrange our entire tv schedule to make us pick and choose what to watch? They are smart conniving sobs, but we still answer to them anyway.
On a soothing note, I will miss 7th Heaven! All about family, no politics! :) I am a big fan in TV meds show such Grey Anatomy, ER, and Real Life Medical Emergency on TLC. House is complicated but ok. I watched one show from House.
Me, too! I’m a huge fan of 7th Heaven! Today is Monday and I’m like whoa, I have to adjust my life without 7th Heaven airing tonight. At least, Everwood is still alive. Don’t forget to tune in the final 2-HR episode of Grey Anatomy tonight 8 PM CST.

Jeez…see what watching television can do….
