I can see that you got your love of magazines from your parents. ;)

I love magazines but I refused to spend money on them until recently! If I need a magazine fix (very rarely now since I have a 8-month-old), I head to Barnes and Noble and hang out for a few hours reading magazines.

When I was pregnant, I started subscribing to 'Mothering,' which is a GREAT natural family magazine. While visiting friends in Arizona, I loved reading their 'Adventure' magazine (part of National Geographic) simply because the writers are SO good and it also has great travel tips. Then I recently subscribed to 'Yoga' magazine because I want to familiarize myself in the world of yoga. It was from that magazine that I learned yoga wasn't just a form of exercise but a way of life. Luckily the first magazine subscription was a gift from my mother and the next two are really cheap. I'm stopping here. (I hope!) ;)

Wow....there is a term for my obsession. Erin I've been reading your blogs for the past few weeks and I have to say that we have sooo much in common. Perhaps I'll bump into you at the a DPHH. Anyways, yesterday my coworkers were looking for me during our lunch break, all the while I was sitting at a window table reading the lastest "O" magazine. Yeah, I love Oprah...but I also subscribe to Southern Living(I'm from NC), Jet, Cosmo, Ebony, Essence & Black Enterprise! I read everything that first grabs my attention...and then I go back and read every other article or ad. Do you prefer reading your latest issue over the latest work gossip? Well, I'll admit it....I'm a "magazineaholic" too *whew* I feel so much better!!!!

You're right on that point about National Geographic. It's sancrosanct.

Sort of like how I thought my Nintendo Power issues 1-50 was untouchable until my parents threw it out last week.

But that aside, you have too many magazines. Gosh. Do you read every page or just skim through the whole thing?
