Erin, what’s your desired age range? :)

I’m on Match.com and fully disclose about my deafness; the hearing people I’ve met are nice, but I haven’t met anyone who SIGN CAN. I have also searched using “deaf” as a keyword. Very few deaf women come up; mostly I get hearing interpreters, etc. If you are interested in a deaf guy, I say ‘fess up completely right in the profile. What’s to lose?

There is a seventh option. Join or get involved with a sport or hobby club. Like volleyball, tennis, chess, sailing, tramping (hiking), rock climbing, dancing, photography, etc, etc.

I’ve stated my deafness in my Match.com profile so that way I won’t waste my time (and theirs).

Happily, I’m now spoken for - met her thru a mutual friend.

Could always say something like, “Knowledge of ASL is a plus” or list ASL as one of the languages you know if its an option.

Smart people, I think/hope, would catch on. :)

actually, i don’t say that i’m deaf in my profile. I don’t know why i don’t say it because it’s not the first thing i identify with. however, i do tell them in my emails (usually the 2nd email) and the response hasn’t been too bad. most of them go, oh i’ve never met a deaf girl.

Out of curiosity, is there full disclosure of your deafness in your online dating profile(s)? Or is this something you confess in email or *gasp* on the first date in person?
