This month last year, we had a blast at Be Bar. They’ve made the place more fun so it’s time to go back! During next month’s DPHH, on March 7th, there will be a Go-Go drag show featuring the Candy Patch starring Kristina Kelly and friends starting at 11 pm. Don’t wait till the last minute though, Be Bar will waive the cover charge for DPHHers until 10 pm, afterwards it’s a $5 cover charge. So be there or be square!
Got a sweet tooth? Quench it at Be Bar where they serve up an array of Martinis flavors such as Sweet Tarts, Jolly Ranchers, Lemon Heads, Strawberry Creamsicle, and even tropical Gummi Bear martinis with peach, banana, pineapple and orange flavors. Come relax on sofas and chat the evening away. The second floor is now open so we’ll have a lot more breathing room compared to last year!
Don’t commiserate on whether to be or not to be, come to Be Bar on March 7th for a rip roaring Deaf Professional Happy Hour. This is an event for all preferences, and you don’t have to tell us what yours is!

Yea, I witnessed the real fun of DPHH gathering at the “BeBar” establishment last year. Almost everyone got real drunk! What a scenario of witnessing many females getting drunk! I never seen the scene of too many drunken ladies at that moment. Whoa!
Drinks at the “BeBar” are always superbu. Real worth of your hard-earned money to buzz yourself off and have such pleasant social conversations with attendees.
Bartenders are very attentive and responsive as compared to some bars in DC.
Urge all of you to have the buddy system while go to the “BeBar” establishment. Better prepared than regret anything later. Okay?
Last year’s DPHH event at the “BeBar” establishment was surprisingly PACKED!! Everyone could get sweatin’ off on the dance floor if they want to!

“regret anything later”- what are you implying? ;)
I meant that anyone drunk, would eventually regret for doing something which he or she usually do not engage in.
For example, someone drunk, would end up having unsafe sex with total stranger without any protection.

For those of you who are going after 10pm, print this out. you’ll get admission to the “boys room”.

Have fun. :)
I don’t know where else to post this comment/concern.. But someone should bring up the dilemma of having professionals and college students at DPHH. As everyone knows, there’s a large deaf community in the DC metro area.
Lately, I’ve noticed the DPHH events contained a majority of college students, rather than working professional, as the name DPHH states. I’m not one to reject anyone from an event. However.. due to the limited space and the DPHH event being once a month, it would be nice if the college students bow out and allow the professionals try to mingle with one another, whether it be for personal catch-ups with fellow colleagues or be for networking. After all, the college students has their own house parties and events hosted by Gallaudet to satisfy their ‘outing’ quota.
Would it be possible to separate DPHH into two events, with one targeting working professionals and another for college students?
