Buy two harddrives and use them in RAID Mirror configuration. This way you don't need to back up your data, because it is already backed up on the other one if one fails.

If both fail, there is a very high chance that a data recovery program will be able to retrieve the data from one of the two drives.

This eliminates having to remember to backup... hard drives are so cheap that a second one doesn't cost that much.

Another online backup site to try out: Mozy. This company was acquired last Sept by EMC,a large and reputable data-warehousing company. There were rumors that Google was going to acquire this company before EMC snapped them up. Mozy works on both PC and Macs.
