We’re delighted to announce that Sara Stallard has been added to our blogger lineup. She wrote two guest blogs for us, “Silent Words Scrawl Mystique of the Speechless… Fer Shur!” and “The Art of Super Duper Speech“. Sara will cover a variety of mediums, whether it is an unusual poster or scribbled messages on pieces of paper, then eloquently describe its qualitative features and aesthetic value. As we saw from her two guest blogs, she has a keen eye for art and an impressive knowledge of art history. Sara won’t always write about art on DeafDC.com, she will also regale us with other stories.

Here’s a brief rundown on Sara, she loves art, books, cats, and urban landscapes. As an undergraduate, she studied graphic design and English literature. As a graduate student, Sara is now studying curricular design and English as a Second Language. When she’s not reading, writing or challenging her friends to Scrabble, Sara can be found prowling around DC’s Eastern Market in search of the perfect cup of coffee (sugar and cream, please). She also enjoys dancing and gardening.

Welcome aboard Sara!
