Since you're now part of the stable of DeafDC bloggers and the fact that you appear unfamiliar with cultural references like "jump the shark," you might want to consider taking the time to read "Internet trolls" at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_%28Internet%29

I've enjoyed your postings and look forward to reading some more thought provoking articles from you.

Hi Cali:

Nah, it's cool. It's part of the experience. At the very least, for those of us who didn't already know, we learned what "jumped the shark" means.

That guy (jumped) had no business saying that. Perhaps DeafDC is better off without him if that's how he thinks. I'm thrilled you're onboard, Chris!

Hi Chris ~

From what I have been able to figure out, it is a term used to indicate when something that was good turned bad. There is an actual website called "Jumped the Shark" that can be found at www.jumpedtheshark.com

According to the website, it means "a defining moment when you know your favorite television program has reached its peak. That instant when you know from now on...it's all downhill."

In another words, it's not flattery. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Not that I agree - congrats on joining the DeafDC stable, and I look forward to reading your posts.
