Already that time of the month, huh? We’re hoping you remember that every third Thursday of the month is another one of our brand-new DPHH After Five event. It’s great for those who are looking to unwind right after work, and with a smaller crowd, enables us to explore new venues that wouldn’t be feasible with our regular DPHH event on Fridays.
Say, in a city like Washington, why don’t we have a Elephant and Donkey? After all, we’ve got Hawk ‘n’ Dove, Elephant and Castle, and The Fox and Hounds. Speaking of that, do you know at which animal pair we’re hosting next week’s DPHH After Five (Thursday, July 20)?
Bingo–The Fox and Hounds. It’s 1537 17th St NW (between P and Q), near the Dupont Circle metro stop. It boasts one of the largest outdoor patios on the street, which is good for us cubicle farm workers workin’ away under fluorescent lighting, right? So…see you there! As usual, DPHH After Five takes place between 5:00pm and 7:00pm.
We like to rotate locations, so maybe next month, it’ll be back to Gallery Place. Got any suggestions for great bars with comfortable seating and happy hour specials that everyone can enjoy? Let us know at info@deafdc.com!

I like train travel. It is the best way to travel. I can go from one side of the country to the other side in only 5-6 days, barring 18 hour delays of course. This allows me to spend less time with friends and family, it’s a great wonderful way to travel. It’s more expensive than flying which makes it much better!
Why do today what you can put off for a week and blame the train?
Oh and the myth, I was that boy.
Julu 18th is a Tuesday, not a Thursday.
Fixed! Was looking at the wrong month, sorry. :)
What about Columbia Heights or Mt. Pleasant?
Hey — small group on Thursday! People were there from New York, Virginia, and Frederick Maryland, but not many DC types. Everyone on vacation?
