Okay, maybe going out on the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers right now isn’t such a great idea. It’s expected to crest tomorrow well below flood stage. You’re thinking you’ve been soaked enough for the rest of the season, but by this time next week you’ll definitely be missin’ that good ol’ riverwater again.

DC Strokes Rowing Club and DeafDC.com have partnered to bring to you a great, wet outdoor activity!

On Saturday, July 8, join us for an all-day “Learn to Row” session at the DC Strokes boathouse and on the Anacostia River. From 9-4, you’ll learn the basics of rowing safety, technique, and equipment in interpreted coaching sessions. After a good lunch, you’ll be out there on the river with DC Strokes members, rowin’ your heart out.

Interested? It’s $25.00 per person, which includes lunch. Please email us at info@deafdc.com to secure your spot! The sign-up deadline is Saturday, July 1.

Of course, you’d already know this if you were on our e-mail list. If you’re not part of our happy e-mailin’ family, be sure to join using the signup box below:
