Sorry, I found American Idol to be more interesting... The Olympics were more exciting during the Cold War when almost every American wanted to stick it to the Commies.

The timing of the Olympics just sucked for me. Barely got any time to sit down and watch them while they were on TV. The only way I could get a chance to watch the events at length was on the gym machines.

I'm glad to report, however, that I'm catching up now...courtesy of my TiVo. :)

I recorded probably half of the entire Olympics for later viewing. It's way better when you can skip those half-hour softy-news stories about athletes' unique-yet-universal personal/family/health struggles!

Soul. patches. suck.

They make me want to go up, point a big fat finger in someone's face, and say, "You missed a spot."

But Ohno?

*siiighs dreamily* Too bad I'm taken, or I'd mail him my underwear.

The media can shut up. I'm glad they make the Olympics available to us in many different ways, but I'll decide what I think about the Games by myself, thank you. And of course, I agree with you. These games definitely had their unsung heroes and their divas. What a show. A long, tiring one, but what a show!

I don't understand, though, how you could leave out Johnny Weir in all his feathered glory. That 'tude - whoo! The USA outfits should have rhinestones and real fur? Ohhhkay. And how about the best excuse ever for not performing his best? "I missed the bus." Heck, still beats Bode's "I don't care."

I didn't watch one minute of the Olympics...only because we only have an antenna and NBC does not work as well as CBS, ABC and PBS.

By the way, you can ride the bobsled at Lake Placid. They offer people to ride in it for a price. I've meant to go over each winter but something always comes up. =P I did ride on one with wheels when I was traveling in Norway...now that was FAST. I can't imagine being in one on ice! *shudder*

I wasn't one of those who watched the olympics. I'm just not a fan of winter sports, though it's exciting to see people do those eversoawesome snowboarding tricks. I just found it hard to keep track of what was going on...and besides I much rather watch the summer olympics, now that's when I get glued to my tv.

and yes i was one of those people who watched grey's, and unfortunately, american idol, for some reason it's better this year (and i haven't watched it the past 3 seasons!)

Ah, snow... I certainly hope to see some snow in PA when I am there this weekend. Sometimes AZ can get boring regarding its climate. We haven't had rain for 130+ something days now.

So, how the heck have you been doing? Long time no talk! :)
