[...] If you don’t have access to today’s Express, download it here. Caution, though - it is a big PDF. Willard’s Blog was also included in the online version of the Express (second blurb). Since the Gallaudet protests began again after a hiatus over the summer, Evan’s “Ensuring the Freedom to Communicate”, the Kaftan’s “Gallaudet Interim Provost Announced“, and Allison Kaftan’s “Worlds Apart: Divergences in Perspectives on the Protest” DeafDC.com Blogs have appeared in the Washington Post Express.
Jesus! Nothing makes you guys happy. I'm sure glad I'm not deaf. All you guys do is whine, whine, whine. The smartest deaf guy I know was an all american high school lacrosse player, has a 7 figure net worth, and he never set foot on Gallaudet. Or any other college.
Translation: gallaudet is like a community college for the deaf.

It looks like King retracted and wanted to pacify faculty by throwing in Michael Moore as interim provost. It also shows the power of the faculty! Not allowing a Fernandes clone to prevail might be the first major blow on the shrewed design of Kelleher for grabbing all power at Gallaudet.

Of course, the damages of the past 6 years cannot be fixed that easy and professor Moore will face towering mess Fernandes left behind as Provost. It is unjust to Michael to use him to clean up this mess. He is one of the most respected professors at the university, and he would deserve a better chance. He won’t be able to succeed until Fernandes stays President.

On the other hand, he may immediately trim the rambling rule of Karen Kimmel at the College of Sciences, even push her out of power. That could be a giant step to reduce Fernandes’ and her narrow clique’s incluence on acamemic matters, and ultimetely may pull the carpet from under her feet. So the battle is on! Keeping up the protest is more crucial now than ever!!

FYI, I am not emotionally or intellectually insecure. You, McConnell, already show your own personal bias about Dr. Moore.

I have no grudges or problems with Dr, Moore, but find him real "moody" from time to time. He sometimes wave with forced smile.

Chris, I already gave out the specific reasons why I have been uneasy about Dr. Moore being the interim provost.

Dr. Moore inexplicibly gave the former ASP member(s) real miserable time on the campus. The guys decide to resign from the ASP fraternity on voluntarly basis.

I witnessed the entire thing when several former ASP members accidently bumped into Dr. Moore. One of my friend really got scared and turned away. I asked that person what's matter with Dr. Moore? I turned my head wayward and saw Dr. Moore's angry eyes at my friend. I understood completely. I was told everything what really happened with my friend and Dr, Moore. Of course, I double-checked out everything to confirm whether my friend told the truth or not. My friend was telling the truth.

Dr. Moore should respect someone's personal decision to resign from the ASP fraternity, not giving this individual any miserable time.

The common knowledge about Dr. Moore that he personally dislike JK. We would see the real leadership strife between Dr. Moore and JK in near future. We already know that IKJ is doing another "chessmate' game on the Kendall Green for his own amusement.

The current interim provost is just a warm spit in the cup with the glass ceiling.

We ought to ask ourselves a real question WHY can't the Gallaudet University simply choose the NEW provost, instead of just an interim provost?

I guess that IKJ want to give JK to imprint her own leadership mark on the university with the future hiring of provost. Will we face the same dilemma about the selection of new provost in the near future or what?
