No, not really. But, moments ago, Fox News aired a story that happened at Gallaudet’s Elstad Auditorium today.

School officials at Eastern Senior High School sold 1,000 $80 tickets for an auditorium that only had room for 750 attendees (not including graduates themselves). So a good number of family members, many elderly, and many from out of town, were locked out of Elstad by police (whether it was ESHS security, Gally DPS, or DC police, I don’t know).

The school offered to hold a second graduation for those who were locked out and forced to wait outside the doors, but many graduates didn’t want to wait.

I watched these family members and graduates walk across campus looking pissed from my office window and wondered what was up.

Now I know. And I can’t blame ‘em. Imagine paying eighty buckaroos to get locked out of your own kid’s graduation. Sucks.
