Someone has requested a DeafDC.com blog filled with happy, soft-focused pictures of baby animals and serene beach scenes. I’m all too happy to oblige. Gallaudet’s ninth president, whoever that may be, is not the end of mankind as we know it. Come thermonuclear war and rising sea levels, hearing presidents of Gallaudet or a third Bush term, we’ll always have wittle fluffy rabbits.

Whoever? The 9th has been chosen. Now, if she resigns or somehow get booted out of the picture, then the next selection would be for the 10th president.

She isn’t president yet, is she? If she resigns before she takes office, she never gets to be president.
Ok..the 9th *appointed* president. Until she officially goes to work as president, she’ll then become Gallaudet’s 7th president.
Dr. Zinser was never sworn in, and yet she’s still considered the seventh. So Jane will be our ninth.

If she makes it past December 31st, she’ll be the ninth president. If she doesn’t, someone else will be.
Notice how the orange cat on the fourth picture has his back left leg slighty inclined to the left, like if he was ready to move and get over the black cat? This picture might be viewed as pornographic, so be careful.

just say a*ss… i don’t really go for the whole censorship thing myself. but i guess some people pick up bad habits in deaf school. naughty deaf person! don’t say darn!
Fixed. We’re still editing the “bad word list” part of the profanity plugin that we installed last week. Just took out a whole bunch of words that we consider very appropriate. Then again, the list itself originally had “gay” in it.
Enjoy your summer and hope that a reasonable and just decision is made. If it turns out that the decision changes the current standing of your ninth President, remember you have the right to protest! ;-) Arizona doesn’t have a huge Deaf community, but there are many of us keeping an eye on the situation.
